Activities Coordinator

Position: Activities Co Ordinator Care home: Adswood Lodge
Location: Stockport, SK3 8HZ
Contract type: 30 hours per week
Rate: £12.71 per hour

Join us as our new Activities Coordinator/Life Skills Coordinator at Adswood Lodge care home in Stockport. This role offers a chance to make a real difference every day by organising and leading meaningful and entertaining activities for the people we support.

Adswood Lodge is part of Exemplar Health Care, a leading provider of nursing care for adults living with complex and high acuity needs. We support adults living with complex mental health needs and neuro disabilities including Huntington's disease and Parkinson's disease.

Responsibilities

• Organise individual activity plans based on people's unique goals and interests.
• Foster community spirit through group activities.
• Support people to maintain current hobbies, take up new interests and pursue educational opportunities.
• Assist people to become more involved in their local community.
• Celebrate national awareness days, holidays and individual/collective achievements.
• Promote choice, dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Creative thinker, always on the lookout for new activities and ideas.

• Relevant experience and qualifications are valued but not essential for this role.

We value relevant experience and qualifications, but they aren't essential for this role. If you haven't worked in the care sector before, we'll provide induction, buddy and ongoing training programmes to help you settle in.
