We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate Activities Assistant to support our Activities Coordinator in delivering a varied, inclusive and person-centred programme that reflects who our residents are - not just where they live.
You do not need to be a performer, artist or expert. What matters most is energy, creativity, empathy and a willingness to give things a go.
About the roleYour role in enriching daily life
You will play a key role in supporting residents to live well by:
- Supporting the delivery of a meaningful, engaging and stimulating activities programme, based on relationship-centred care
- Encouraging residents to express and maintain their individual lifestyle choices
- Spending time with residents in conversation and meaningful occupation, at a pace that respects dignity, communication needs and preferences
- Supporting reviews of activities with residents and the wider care team to continually enhance the lived experience
- Assisting with activity planning, monthly calendars and expenditure records
- Ensuring activity records are accurate, up to date and inspection-ready
- Supporting compliance with regulatory requirements, policies and procedures
- Ensuring appropriate resources and equipment are always available to support engagement
