Acoustic Consultant -

An international consulting business with multidisciplinary expertise across a diverse range of environmental engineering fields has a requirement for an Acoustic Consultant to join their office in Galway, Ireland!

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Acoustic Consultant with a leaning towards building acoustics and experience ideally in the oil and gas sector to rapidly develop their skills within a well developed team. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of major projects in the power, mining, transportation, waste management and development sectors in the UK and overseas.

Qualifications

• Qualified to BEng/BSc level or equivalent
• IOA Membership
• Full driving license

Experience

• Thorough understanding of noise and vibration principles, current standards, guidance and best practice.
• Proven track record of business development.
• Ability to demonstrate effective project and people management.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, self motivation, organised and an aptitude to advise team members from other professions/technical backgrounds.
• Technically competent and IT proficient.

Duties

• Overall project management responsibilities for projects of various sizes.
• Noise Impact Assessments and Vibration Assessments.
• Construction and Demolition Noise Monitoring and Control.
• Provide advice on Sound Insulation and Architectural Acoustic Design.
• Planning and Noise (PPG 24) Assessments for residential developments.
• Proven technical ability in terms of problem solving and analytical thinking.
• Ability to manage time, resources and projects effectively.
• Develop and secure new business, negotiating with clients and contractors to develop existing relationships and to forge new business relationships.
