Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful and rapidly expanding professional services organisation for a Trainee Accounts Technician to join their growing finance team.

The Role

Working alongside an experienced finance team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the accounts function. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of responsibilities including sales ledger, purchase ledger, reconciliations, client account administration, VAT support and payment processing. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate ledgers, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, managing disbursements and supporting the wider finance team in delivering a high-quality service.

What You'll Need

• Currently studying towards, or interested in pursuing, an Accounting Technician qualification
• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office and accounting systems
• A proactive and professional approach to work
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
