Accounts Senior opportunity within an established Northwest firm of Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors offering varied responsibilities and career progression.

An established Northwest Chartered Accountancy & Business Advisory Practice with a long history of advising SME, Owner Managed and Corporate clients across the Northwest region. With several offices across the region and teams delivering Audit / Advisory, Tax, Insolvency & Restructuring and M&A / Corporate Finance solutions, the firm has rapidly become the leading full-solution advisory practice operating within Manchester and the wider Northwest.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The firm continues to grow and seeks to appoint an ACA / ACCA Part-Qualified / Finalist (or QBE) Accountant into an Accounts Senior role supporting a Senior Client Manager in running a large client portfolio. The position offers broad exposure to clients and accountancy & business advisory work, with the opportunity to progress to Manager in the next 12 - 24 months.
As an Accounts Senior role duties and responsibilities will involve:
- Assisting a Senior Client Manager in running a large portfolio of SME, Owner Managed and Corporate business clients, typically c.£200k - £10m t/o;
- Preparing monthly / quarterly management accounts and annual statutory accounts accurately, in accordance with standards, within budget and to deadlines;
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns ensuring accuracy and that all relevant tax is applied;
- Working with the bookkeeping team to ensure workload is completed accurately and efficiently for the portfolio of clients ahead of accounts preparation;
- Liaising regularly with clients regarding the preparation of their accounts and answering any relevant queries;
- Attending client meetings with the Senior Client Manager;
- Maintaining high standards of work quality, accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of accounts / tax / bookkeeping;

THE PERSON
You will be an accounts professional able to demonstrate the following:
- ACA / ACCA Part-Qualified, Finalist or QBE
- Experience within Accountancy Practice - minimum c.3 - 4 years
- Good level of Accountancy Practice experience to include Accounts Preparation, VAT and Tax
- IT literate - familiar with Accounts Production software and bookkeeping systems such as Xero and Sage 50
