We are looking for a motivated Semi Senior Accountant with prior practice experience to join this supportive and professional team as they continue to expand. Join this regional accountancy practice based in Peterborough, working with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries.

This role is ideal for someone looking to progress their career within practice, with exposure to a wide variety of clients and clear development opportunities.

The Role

You will manage a portfolio of clients and support senior team members in delivering high-quality accounting services, including the following duties:

Key responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Draft statutory financial statements in line with UK GAAP and FRS 102/105

Assisting with management accounts

Supporting with corporation tax computations

Supporting junior team members where appropriate

Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries

Requirements (Essential)

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/ACA
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients
• Strong working knowledge of VAT and bookkeeping
• Experience using varied accounting software including cloud based systems
• Good communication skills and a confidence when managing client relationships
