Our client is a leading real estate and engineering firm based in De Bilt, dedicated to designing and developing sustainable urban environments and future-proof communities. Within the Real Estate business unit-comprising Real Estate Advisory and Real Estate Management-they deliver innovative solutions for a diverse property portfolio, including residential, retail, office, and commercial real estate.


The Role

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will join the Administration Management team, which consists of 10 colleagues within a department of around 60 professionals. You will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and play a key role in optimizing financial processes within real estate management.


The Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage outstanding receivables.
  • Prepare monthly reports using Power BI.
  • Identify overdue payments and send reminders and dunning letters.
  • Maintain written and telephone contact with debtors.
  • Coordinate follow-up actions with account managers and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with collection agencies and prepare files for transfer.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to clients.
  • Analyze and improve current credit control processes.
  • Prepare payment batches and upload bank statements into the financial system.
  • Resolve discrepancies and irregularities in payments.
  • Process bank transactions and enter payments into the administration.
  • Support various financial tasks, such as account reconciliations and month-end closing.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings and support administrative and accounting tasks.


The Requirements

  • Completed MBO level 4 education, preferably in Business Administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a financial role with a focus on accounts receivable.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and financial skills.
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Experience with REMS is a plus.
  • Fluency in Dutch.
