Accounts Manager - Birkenhead

A well-established accountancy practice is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager to join its Birkenhead office. This is a great opportunity for a technically strong, client-focused accountant who enjoys managing relationships, overseeing a varied portfolio, and supporting junior staff development.

The role:

• Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses across multiple sectors
• Act as the main point of contact, providing proactive advice
• Review statutory accounts and ensure UK GAAP compliance
• Oversee corporation tax work and liaise with specialists
• Manage workflow, deadlines, and team delivery
• Support and mentor junior team members

About you:

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong experience managing clients within practice
• Solid technical knowledge of accounts and compliance
• Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
• Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
