Job Description

An Accounts Manager is required for a medium-sized accountancy firm in London. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

  1. Planning, prioritisation, and allocation of client work ensuring effective team workflow.
  2. Establishment of scope and budget for each piece of client accounts work under own control.
  3. Ensure adequate briefing to team members.
  4. Preparation or delegation of key client accounts work in line with agreed budget.
  5. Maximise efficiencies with the team and service line.
Profile
  • Ownership of a client portfolio and contacts for ongoing management and development.
  • Supervision and training of junior staff.
  • Experience with preparing and reviewing FRS 102 Section 1A accounts.
  • Supporting business development activities.
  • Experience of reviewing management accounts and supporting clients with their accounting needs.
  • Experience of preparing and/or reviewing IFRS/FRS101 financial statements preferable.
  • Software experience - Xero, Silverfin, Caseware preferable.
