Our client, a well-established company based in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounts professional with experience in Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll.
A hybrid working option will be available following the initial onboarding and training period.
This role may suit candidates living in Castlebar, Westport, Ballina, Claremorris, Swinford, Ballyhaunis, Ballinrobe, Foxford, Newport, Kiltimagh, Belmullet and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
- Payroll processing using Sage Payroll
- Assisting with month-end and year-end accounts
- Maintaining financial records using Sage Accounts
- General finance administration duties
- Supporting the accounts team with ad hoc duties as required
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or bookkeeping role
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll
- Experience with VAT returns and reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
