Accounts & Tax Senior Manager

TPF Recruitment, Kent's leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is supporting a prestigious and well established firm of chartered accountants in Goudhurst with the recruitment of an Accounts & Tax Senior Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional to take ownership of a varied portfolio of predominantly limited company clients. You'll oversee accounts and tax assignments, develop client relationships and support the delivery of outsourced finance services.

As an Accounts & Tax Senior Manager, you'll work closely with the partners, providing technical guidance, reviewing complex assignments and developing colleagues. The position offers scope to contribute to the wider running of the team while continuing to build your advisory experience.

Responsibilities

As an Accounts & Tax Senior Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of predominantly limited company clients, overseeing statutory accounts and tax compliance.
• Reviewing financial statements prepared under FRS 102, with some exposure to IFRS.
• Overseeing and reviewing corporation tax computations, tax returns and VAT returns.
• Supporting outsourced Finance Director clients with management reporting, financial analysis and additional projects.
• Acting as a senior point of contact for clients, providing practical accounting and tax advice.
• Resolving complex technical queries and discussing significant matters with the partners.
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional support and advisory services.
• Managing portfolio deadlines, budgets and team workloads.
• Reviewing work prepared by colleagues, ensuring accuracy and a high standard of delivery.
• Coaching and developing junior team members, supporting their progression and technical knowledge.
• Working with the partners to improve processes and contribute to the continued development of the practice.

Requirements

• An ACA or ACCA qualification, or substantial relevant experience gained within accountancy practice.
• Strong experience managing accounts and tax work for limited company clients.
• Excellent technical knowledge of FRS 102 and corporation tax, with IFRS exposure beneficial.
• Experience reviewing assignments and resolving technical queries.
• Confidence managing client relationships and delivering practical, commercially relevant advice.
• Experience supervising colleagues, coordinating workloads and supporting team development.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to oversee competing deadlines.
• An interest in outsourced finance services and broader business advisory work.
