This is a fantastic chance for an ambitious professional to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead client relationships, and play a key role in driving excellence across accounts and tax services.About the role As an Accounts and Tax Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing expert accounting and tax advice, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a diverse portfolio of accounts and tax clients
• Leading client meetings and building long-term relationships
• Reviewing accounts and tax returns to ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House requirements
• Overseeing workflow allocation and prioritisation across the team
• Reviewing files to ensure quality, compliance, and technical accuracy
• Supporting year-end reporting requirements, including P11Ds, Form 42 and ATED returns where applicable
• Supporting and developing team members to achieve high performance
• Acting as a trusted adviser, providing valuable insights and solutions to clients
• Ensuring all client work is delivered on time and to the highest professional standards

This Accounts and Tax Manager position offers a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.What we are looking for The ideal Accounts and Tax Manager will have:

• Previous experience managing a portfolio of accounts and tax clients within practice
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Excellent technical knowledge across accounts and taxation
• Experience using accountancy software packages
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively
• A proactive and commercial approach to client service

Qualifications:

• ACA / ICAEW, ACCA qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
• Part-qualified candidates with strong relevant experience will also be considered
