Accountant PQ (12-Month Maternity Cover - SAP Essential)
West London | Hybrid Working
A well-established international organisation is seeking an Accountant PQ to join its Finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Working within a small team, you will play a key role in recording, analysing and reporting financial information, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strong financial control.
Key Responsibilities
- Record payments and receipts within SAP ERP
- Post AP invoices (purchases and Opex) and maintain accurate accounting records
- Maintain bank ledgers and perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Lead cash collection activities and monitor outstanding invoices
- Manage and maintain master data (products, vendors, customers)
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare balance sheet and P&L variance analysis
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in collaboration with logistics
- Reconcile intercompany balances
- Prepare payment runs and review AP accounts
- Monitor credit control and produce credit reports
- Assist with VAT returns, audits and compliance requirements
- Support budgeting, forecasting and finance projects
Requirements
- Part-qualified or newly qualified ACCA/CIMA
- 3-5 years' experience in accounting/finance
- Strong SAP ERP experience (ESSENTIAL)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in reconciliations, variance analysis and month-end processes
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
- Confident communicator able to work effectively in a small team
- Right to work in the UK
