Accountant

I'm recruiting for a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join a leading Power Systems business based in Daventry on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy finance team across financial reporting, payroll accounting, lease accounting, and month-end activities.

Description

• The Accountant's duties will include but are not limited to:
• Take ownership of lease accounting, ensuring accurate records and supporting quarterly audits.
• Manage payroll accounting activities, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Complete monthly and quarterly corporate reporting requirements.
• Prepare and submit the annual PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) return.
• Analyse and report Profit in Inventory (PII) variances.
• Prepare and present Balance Sheet reviews during month-end meetings.
• Produce annual tax pack submissions for two sites.
• Support compliance with financial regulations, controls, and reporting requirements.

Profile

• The successful candidate will be:
• Actively studying for a finance qualication (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or have relevant experience.
• Strong Excel skills are essential.
• Previous experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, and balance sheet management.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
