The Role

As an Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in accounting principles, who is motivated to grow and develop a career in finance.

You will contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial records, support month-end and year-end closing processes, and help ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.


Key responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledger entries.
  • Support the financial close process, ensuring timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Organize and maintain financial documentation and filing systems in line with best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Assist with internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments on financial matters and reporting needs.
  • Support the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of accounting systems and tools.
  • Provide general support to the accounting team and contribute to process improvements.


Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in multinational environments is a nice-to-have.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Portuguese tax requirements (VAT, Mod.-22, ) is a nice-to-have.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting requirements is a nice-to-have.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the accounting profession.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English is mandatory.
