Role Overview

Pre-Sales Solution Engineer - Informatica Role Overview Salesforce is seeking experienced Pre-Sales Solution Engineers to join the Informatica Solution Engineering team. In this role, you will partner closely with Account Executives and customers to demonstrate how Informatica solutions solve complex data management challenges and support business transformation initiatives. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle by leading discovery sessions, delivering product demonstrations, supporting proof of concept engagements, and providing solution architecture guidance. This role is ideal for individuals who combine technical expertise with strong communication and customer engagement skills.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with sales teams to support technical discovery, qualification, and solution alignment throughout the sales cycle
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements for prospective customers
  • Translate technical capabilities into business value and customer outcomes
  • Develop trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, including technical teams, decision-makers, and business leaders
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
  • Independently manage technical customer engagements and related communications
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to improve customer experience and product feedback processes
  • Share technical best practices, reusable assets, and knowledge across the Solution Engineering organization
  • Maintain relevant certifications and stay current on cloud, data management, and industry technologies
  • Support technical presentations and demonstrations at customer and marketing events
  • Provide product feedback and solution insights through internal systems and processes
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, technical consulting, or related customer facing technical roles
  • 4+ years of experience working with data integration, master data management (MDM), data governance, data quality, or related enterprise data technologies
  • Experience delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, or proof of concept engagements
  • Understanding of enterprise software architecture, hybrid cloud environments, data warehousing, or business intelligence concepts
  • Experience with at least one Informatica platform or related data management technology
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and customer engagement skills
  • Ability to build relationships with technical and business stakeholders
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Understanding of cloud security fundamentals and enterprise data management concepts
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 50%
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting enterprise SaaS or cloud-based data management solutions
  • Technical certifications in cloud platforms or data technologies
  • Experience working with data governance, analytics, or AI driven data platforms
  • Familiarity with technical sales methodologies and account planning
  • Experience collaborating across cross functional technical and customer facing teams
