You are an experienced business developer with a strong background in the cosmetics, personal care, or pet food industries, looking for a role focused on driving business- and market growth. You bring the expertise to explore and develop new markets beyond their current focus on health and sports nutrition.


About the open position

For Vaneeghen in Amsterdam, we are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Account Manager with a strong focus on business development within strategic market segments. At Vaneeghen, you will work in a multidisciplinary environment where every voice matters-whether you are in Sales, Marketing, Technical, QA, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Customer Service.

You navigate smoothly across disciplines, knowing when to take the lead and when to listen. You translate the strategic segment focus determined by Marketing into concrete commercial opportunities and provide customers with real value


The head quarter office of Vaneeghen is in Amsterdam; it is located in a monumental building at Herengracht. It is a hybrid position.


The following tasks will be a part of your responsibilities

  • Develop new clients within Vaneeghen's strategic market segments in Europe
  • Commercially translate market choices into customer-oriented propositions, offers, and effective sales approaches per client or market cluster
  • Establish and grow client relationships, from initial conversations to long-term collaborations
  • Lead commercial processes, including negotiations, value propositions, and closing deals
  • Collaborate closely with internal multidisciplinary teams to align customer needs with product offerings, availability, compliance, and service
  • Contribute to realistic forecasts, project updates, and commercial reporting
  • Provide customer insights and market dynamics to enrich our propositions
  • Actively work with internal teams to translate customer needs into actionable plans


Your Profile

You have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures. You are used to strategic account planning and value-based selling. In this position you will need excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and reporting skills, with effective project and time management capabilities.


Qualifications

  • At least several years or relevant B2B sales experience, preferably in food ingredients, supplements, pet food, cosmetics, pharma or FMCG
  • Proven experience in new business development within complex customer environments
  • Commercially savvy, strong communicator, with a solid sense of value creation and customer-centric thinking
  • Comfortable in a cross-functional setting; a natural team player focused on shared goals
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree level thinking and working, preferably in a commercial, nutritional, or life sciences field
  • Excellent command of English and at least one additional (non-Dutch) language. Dutch is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics, and reporting tools
