Job title: Account Executive - Private Clients
Location: London - Hybrid 2 days in office
PURPOSE OF ROLE
Acting as a trusted recruitment partner, Lawes Recruitment is working alongside a growing insurance business to recruit a talented Account Executive for its Private Client division. You'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-net-worth, mid-market, and emerging wealth clients, delivering tailored personal insurance solutions across home, motor, travel, and lifestyle risks. This is a client-facing role focused on retention, growth, and service excellence in a high-performing, forward-thinking environment with strong private equity backing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and retain a portfolio of Private Client and HNW accounts, acting as a trusted advisor
- Identify new business opportunities within the portfolio and through referrals and market engagement
- Oversee renewals and policy adjustments to ensure clients' coverage stays aligned with their evolving needs
- Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive, bespoke terms on behalf of clients
- Maintain full FCA compliance and uphold all internal risk and audit procedures
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver a seamless client experience
- Keep informed on market developments to advise clients effectively and share knowledge internally
DAY-TO-DAY
- Serve as the main point of contact for a book of HNW and Private Client accounts
- Conduct regular policy reviews, meetings, and renewal discussions
- Work with account handlers and insurers to ensure accurate and timely servicing
- Identify and act on cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the portfolio
- Keep systems up to date with client activity, policy changes, and communication logs
- Stay current on market trends, insurer appetite, and compliance updates
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience within Private Client, Mid-Market, or Emerging Wealth insurance sectors
- Strong working knowledge of personal lines products relevant to HNW clients
- Track record of managing client portfolios and delivering exceptional service
- Experience with insurance systems and back-office platforms
- Cert CII qualification or progression towards it is desirable
SKILLS
- Able to build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals with professionalism and discretion
- Confident in negotiating and presenting insurance solutions in a consultative manner
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and time management
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities and adapting to clients' changing needs
- Proactive in generating new opportunities and developing the portfolio further
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams
