Accommodation Support Officer

We're hiring for an Accommodation Support Officer to join our team and make a meaningful impact every day. This role involves managing a caseload of adult males in custody, working closely with probation practitioners and stakeholders to conduct assessments, develop accommodation plans, and support participants in overcoming housing challenges.
We welcome applicants from a range of professional backgrounds, including social services, mental health, education, criminal justice, and recent graduates. What matters most is a people-focused approach and an ability to build trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
You don't need to meet every requirement to apply. We are looking for someone who is engaging, empathetic, adaptable, and resilient, and who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of participants and produce personalised accommodation plans
- Carry out initial assessments, considering risk, situation and need
- Record progress and outcomes timely and accurately using a case management system
- Maintain contact with participants, identifying any emerging risks and concerns
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
In return for your dedication, knowledge and commitment, we offer a competitive salary of £25,877 - £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience). Location: HMP Liverpool / HMP Altcourse, Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week (Mon Fri), Contract: Permanent, Closing date: 15 July 2026.
