Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
- Liaising effectively with internal/external stakeholders, technical leads and customers to ensure test activities align with program objectives and timelines. Act as a point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve relatively complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectives
- Mapping requirements to detailed test steps, ensuring full traceability and coverage across the test lifecycle
- Monitoring, logging, and managing defects raised during testing. Coordinating with relevant teams to plan and execute retests until closure
- Developing and maintaining detailed test timetables and trackers to support efficient test execution and progress monitoring
- Collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to maintain alignment with system-level requirements and acceptance criteria
- Provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working and their development
Your skills and experiences:
- Experienced in delivering end-to-end Acceptance engineering activities on a scale such as the Shared Infrastructure environment
- Experience with Test Management tools such as within IBM's Engineering Lifecycle Management
- Experienced in tracking requirements mapped to detailed test steps and managing defect resolution
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
- A good understanding of configuration management principles, discipline and software tools
- Competence and capability with requirements capture and management using tools such as Rational DOORS
- Team leading experience using task and progress tracking tools such as Atlassian JIRA
Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution.
Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation.
Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.
