Job Description

CRA Consulting are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded claimant law firm in the recruitment of an Abuse Claims Solicitor to join their specialist Manchester-based team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a compassionate and motivated solicitor -whether Newly Qualified or with further post-qualification experience -to join a nationally recognised department acting for survivors in complex and sensitive compensation claims.

The Role

Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will assist clients through challenging and often life-changing legal matters with empathy, professionalism and care. The role offers exposure to highly rewarding claimant work, alongside genuine opportunities for long-term progression within a specialist practice area.

The firm is open to candidates from a variety of litigation backgrounds who can demonstrate excellent client care skills, strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to claimant-focused legal services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a caseload of abuse compensation matters, with supervision and support where appropriate
  • Assisting senior solicitors on complex and high-value claims
  • Providing sensitive and professional advice to clients throughout the litigation process
  • Handling matters involving:
    • Historical child abuse claims
    • Institutional abuse cases
    • Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) applications
    • Civil claims against organisations and institutions
  • Drafting legal documentation and client correspondence
  • Liaising with counsel, medical experts and third parties
  • Maintaining accurate case management records and regulatory compliance
  • Supporting wider team initiatives and business development activities where appropriate
About You
  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ+)
  • Previous experience in personal injury, clinical negligence, abuse or general litigation would be beneficial
  • Strong communication and client care skills
  • Empathetic and professional approach when dealing with sensitive matters
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Able to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment
  • Passionate about achieving positive outcomes for clients and access to justice
