With the upcoming opening of the women's shelter, we are recruiting: Social Worker for the Women's Shelter (80%) - Permanent Contract Location: Lausanne Start date: To be agreed What you bring to our mission The Chablais Shelter welcomes vulnerable migrant women, with or without children. It offers secure accommodation and social support aimed at autonomy, protection, and the development of individuals. With your skills and professional commitment, you actively participate in supporting single women, mothers housed, and their children by providing individualized, secure, and structured support. You ensure the care of the children and young people present in the shelter, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. You promote their physical, emotional, social development, and more. From your future supervisor, Salomé: The role consists of supporting women and their children in building and implementing their individual project, while developing collective activities that promote social ties. Your key missions Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to assess the needs of beneficiaries and collaborate with the beneficiary and the network to develop personalized action plans aimed at autonomy, with regular evaluations and adjustments of objectives. Organize and facilitate discussion groups, activities, and actions related to rights, duties, social codes, equality, and social cohesion. Assist beneficiaries with certain external processes based on their autonomy and ensure connections with network partners (health, therapy, social, integration, etc.). Establish a structured and secure framework, reiterate the shelter's regulations and safety instructions, and ensure follow-up in case of transgressive behaviors. Promote communal living by organizing collective spaces, preventing tensions, and proactively intervening in conflict management. Support parenting and coordinate, for families with children, the connections with school, leisure, and resources. Your profile You hold a degree in X HES (recognition by SEFRI if the diploma is foreign). You have at least 5 years of professional experience in a multidisciplinary team and in collective accommodation settings for vulnerable individuals. You possess a good knowledge of the social network and have solid pedagogical skills, as well as analytical abilities. You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and flexibility. Knowledge of English or experience in the field constitutes an asset. The recruitment process consists of 3 steps: 1. Interview with our Recruitment Officer and the Shelter Manager, 2. A practical exercise, 3. A half-day immersion to concretely discover your future work environment.
