JOB TITLE: A&D Sales Consultant
LOCATION: London Office
WORKING HOURS: 9:00am - 17:30 Monday to Friday
REPORTING TO: Head of New Business
RESPONSIBLE FOR: None
MAIN PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES OF ROLE:

Working as part of the New Business team with the primary focus working within nominated A&D practices. The role will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities and for developing and maintaining strong relationships with architecture and design (A&D) practices. This is a client-facing sales role focused on developing and nurturing strong relationships and will require managing your own client appointments and representing the company at industry events and exhibitions. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across the sales team and will be guided by our strategic objectives, reviewed regularly in bi-weekly team meetings. There is a requirement to attend a wide variety of networking events, industry connected seminars, supplier events, and any specific event where it is deemed appropriate for networking possibilities for the development of the business.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
To achieve the planned level of sales and gross profit by identifying and developing projects from within our nominated accounts.
To maintain and develop relationships with our existing accounts and to create new relationships either from within these accounts or from newly targeted accounts.
To identify sales opportunities and win sales orders according to agreed targets and plans, and generally to promote the company's capabilities.
Devise and develop short- and long-term sales and marketing strategies to develop a contact base outside of team accounts.
Working with and qualifying leads from ongoing contacts, marketing campaigns, networking events, and other methods of lead generation.
Ensure effective use of published and referral leads.
Provide biweekly updates with the A&D team to the Head of New Business.
Provide timely and accurate quotations and estimates for clients.
Liaise with other departments regarding projects post-order.
Provide weekly sales progress on key opportunities.
Maintain safe working practices whilst undertaking your duties at all times.
To act in accordance with the company's Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and practices highlighting any issues appropriately.
Work flexibly and be receptive and adaptable to a changing environment within a fast-expanding Company.
Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
1. Detailed understanding of the Interiors and Office Furniture sector.
2. Excellent selling and presentation skills.
3. Strategic thinker particularly with regard to clients and broader opportunities.
4. Strong team player and ability to communicate with people of all levels.
5. Tenacious and focused on long term strategy.
6. Able to work unsupervised.
7. Positive, forward-thinking, and persuasive.
