Role Overview

The Senior Health, Safety & Environment Manager - BRL plays a critical leadership role in ensuring BRL's HS&E responsibilities are fully met across construction, public realm, estate operations, corporate activity and events. You will work closely with the Infrastructure Team while providing expert advice directly to the BRL Executive.

Your Impact in the Role
  • Lead and continually develop BRL's health, safety and environmental strategy and management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including CDM Regulations and BRL's internal standards.
  • Review and assess contractor competence, RAMS, CPPs, HS&E plans and tender stage documentation.
  • Deliver audits, inspections and fire safety checks across construction sites, offices, public realm and estate environments.
  • Oversee incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions and emergency preparedness.
  • Support corporate functions, construction, estates and events teams with HS&E advice and risk mitigation.
  • Maintain robust HS&E documentation, dashboards, metrics and reporting for senior leadership.
  • Deliver training, inductions, presentations and staff engagement initiatives to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Engage effectively with external partners including contractors, plot developers, consultants, emergency services and regulatory bodies.
What You'll Bring
  • Strong construction related Health, Safety & Environment experience
  • Experience writing and reviewing risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Essential qualifications - NEBOSH and TechIOSH
  • Clear understanding of CDM Regulations and client responsibilities
  • Experience writing, reviewing and implementing HS&E policies
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation, documentation and analytical abilities
  • Confident presenting HS&E information across BRL and to senior audiences
  • A full driving licence (Driver Check required)
