7.5 Tonne Driver Tramping / Distance Work

Location: Burton-upon-Trent (Branston area, DE14 3PD)

Employment Type: Full-time / Ongoing Contract (Working via JT Recruit)

We are currently recruiting for a reliable, professional 7.5 Tonne Driver to join an ongoing distance contract with our client based at their state-of-the-art site in Branston, Burton-upon-Trent.

Our client is a world-class leader in the manufacturing and distribution of premium industrial trade products and climbing equipment. Pay Rates & Allowances
  • Monday to Friday (Days, 06 00): £14.50 per hour

  • Monday to Friday (Nights, 18 00): £16.50 per hour

  • Saturday (Flat Rate): £17.50 per hour

  • Sunday (Flat Rate): £19.50 per hour

  • Night Out Allowance: £25.00 per night out

  • Parking & Expenses: All vehicles are on a company SNAP account, meaning secure parking is fully paid for. No out-of-pocket expenses for you.

The Role & Schedule
  • Start Time: Early morning starts (typically around 04:00 AM).

  • The Route: 2-day runs covering nationwide long-distance deliveries to major trade sites such as B&Q, Wickes, and Huws Gray.

  • Nights Out: This role requires 2 nights out per week (typically Monday and Wednesday nights).

  • The Work: Delivering premium trade products. Please note this involves active handball and manual unloading of drops.

  • The Equipment: You will be driving brand-new, top-spec vehicles fully equipped with air conditioning, and premium comforts for your nights out.

What We Need From You
  • A valid UK 7.5 Tonne (Category C1) licence.

  • A current Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.

  • A good level of physical fitness to handle the manual drops.

  • No more than 6 points on your licence (for insurance purposesno DD/DR/CD codes).

  • Reliability, a professional attitude, and a commitment to safe driving practices.

Important Assessment Info

All candidates must pass a practical driving assessment on their first Monday, followed by a short introductory run to get you fully used to the route.
