This is a six (6) month contract opportunity.

The successful candidate is responsible for partnering with the Leadership Team to support Husky's Customer Success Management (CSM) strategy. Guide the business in achieving growth and efficiency initiatives while also transforming the finance side of CSM so that we can best ensure that our aftermarket service business is well equipped to support our customers.

Key Responsibilities / Areas of Accountability Strategic Business Partnering

Become an integral part of the organization, driving value creation as a result of identifying opportunities and risks by providing critical information and ideas that help deliver leading operating and strategic decisions.

  • Work with the organization to think through challenges and roadblocks related to growth, process and investments to identify initiatives to drive change and value.
  • Work with Finance and Non Finance team members in helping them understand how to think about business and financial challenges and how to piece together variables related to investment, cost, process and culture to find solutions and add value. Increasing self reliance and personal capabilities
  • Participate and support Transformational projects related to enhancements in Finance and CSM
    • CSM: Some of the key objectives include the development of a best in class order fulfillment process, service coverage and utilization with the ability to evaluate financial performance of new service products, metrics to drive critical business behaviours that support growth and cost efficiency
    • Finance: improve financial processes, structures and reporting tools and implement metrics to drive critical business behaviours that support growth and cost efficiency
Team Development
  • Develop a Finance Team that is capable (capacity/focus) of analytical decision making, thinking strategically and driving change. (Requires an evolution from traditional routine reporting and transactional activities)
  • Leadership and mentoring of team member. This includes developing future leaders in the region by providing technical expertise, training, motivating and leading by example as well as mentoring of Financial Analysts and junior financial staff.

Deliver consistent, timely, accurate and comprehensive financial reporting to support internal/external requirements, on a stable and flexible platform. Timely, relates to real time where necessary. Significantly more reporting should be available self serve with minimal or no finance touch points.

  • Work closely with and provide value added business support to the Customer Service team, ensuring consistent financial costing and budget information. Ensure that operational tactics and global strategies are founded on appropriate financial concepts and aligned with overall financial targets of the corporation.
  • Complete timely budgets and forecasts for Global operations. This includes providing direction to functional team leaders on required targets and changes in strategic direction
  • Provide accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting, financial statements, period end reports and all other financial data. Evaluate key performance indicators of individual groups/products in an effort to provide guidance on root cause of variances to budget and mitigation opportunities.
Technical / Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills. Proven ability to convey key messages in a concise and clear manner.
  • Strong accounting (US GAAP and/or local GAAP, IFRS, SOX), analytical experience.
  • A strong team builder and developer of people.
  • Adaptable and agile. Able to work effectively in a very fast paced environment.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and conflict while maintaining composure and managing stress.
  • Commercially savvy with strong business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to identify financial weaknesses and implement effective internal controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a strong track record of root cause problem solving.
  • Detailed oriented with ability to summarize and provide concise explanations to key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working with a cross functional team on transformational projects
Qualifications
  • Completion of professional accounting designation (i.e., CA, CMA, CPA, CGA).
  • University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Seven to eight years progressive accounting experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment
