IT Support Consultant
Based: London/Hybrid
Salary: Up to £60k, depending on experience
We're seeking an experienced technical consultant to join our Customer Infrastructure Team. The role involves varied and challenging work, focusing on one of Smartdesc's largest global clients. You will work independently, with guidance, on the client's IT infrastructure to maintain high-quality service and support the company's growth. Your responsibilities include ensuring efficient IT systems, handling escalations, and proactively suggesting and implementing infrastructure improvements.
Technical Skills:
Candidates should possess strong technical skills, with the ability to fault find and solve problems under pressure. We welcome applications from candidates with some, but not all, of the following experience and attributes:
- VMWare vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V with SCVMM in clustered environments
- Storage Platforms (Nimble, NetApp, IBM, etc.)
- Physical Server Equipment (HPE, Dell, IBM)
- Configuration and troubleshooting of Azure AD including Conditional Access, MFA, Enterprise Apps, Azure AD Sync
- Hybrid & Native Office 365 environments
- Administration and Migration of Active Directory and MS Exchange to Office 365
- Understanding mail flow best practices and configurations
- Mimecast or similar Email Security and Microsoft Defender for 365 configuration and administration
- DNS management and troubleshooting
- PowerShell scripting
- Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, Microsoft Azure, and Group Policy
- RDS including RemoteApp / Remote Desktop Gateway
- Networking technologies, routing, and troubleshooting TCP/IP issues
- Configuring and troubleshooting Firewalls, routers, and switches
- Veeam Backup & Replication for Backup and Disaster Recovery
