26/PBCK - Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist - Cork - (Job Ref: 26/PBCK)

Location: 43-44 St Patrick's St, Centre, Cork, T12 FY05, Ireland.

Contract: Full time, permanent.

Working Hours / Shifts: 8.20am to 5pm, 5 days per week between Monday and Saturday. Some flexibility may be required.

Vaccination: Must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage.

Background check: Required to undergo a Garda vetting background check.

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into Patient Information Systems (PIS).
• Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
• Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
• Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling at the private health clinic.
• Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
• Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
• Demonstrate high IT literacy to manage various software systems and daily tasks.

Essential Criteria

• Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
• Confident using IT programmes.
• Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business.
• Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
• Strong communication skills.
• Right to work in Ireland without visa sponsorship.

Desirable

• Experience in a private healthcare setting.
• Experience in customer service.
• 2 years experience in Phlebotomy.
• Sales / Retail experience.
• Valid Irish driving licence.
