Serum Formulation Scientist - (Job Ref: 26N/SMFS)

Randox Laboratories seeks a Serum Formulation Scientist to join the Serum Formulation Team.

Location

Randox Science Park (30 Randalstown Road, Antrim, BT41 4LF).

Contract Offered

Full time, Permanent.

Working Hours / Shifts

40 hours per week: 7 am to 5 pm, 8 am to 6 pm, or occasionally 6 pm to 6 am (4 shifts per week).

What does this role involve?

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and machinery.
• Perform scientific calculations in various units for control manufacture and verify the results.
• Review quality control test data and adjust calculations as required.
• Ensure raw materials are in stock using the Sage stock control system.
• Collaborate with R&D to develop new products.
• Analyze functional test data.
• Provide technical support queries.
• Assist with introduction of new equipment and processes as part of continual improvement.
• Meet formulation schedules and deadlines.
• Complete accurate formulation records and filter control materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, audit ready laboratory environment.

Essential criteria

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a life science subject.
• Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to prioritise work.
• Ability to operate different types of equipment and analytical instrumentation reliably.
• Strong numerical skills for a range of scientific calculations.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
• Flexible start and finish times when required by the formulation schedule.
• Availability for occasional night shifts.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety, including CoSHH.
• Experience using a stock control system such as Sage.
• Full UK driving licence.
