Salary/Rate: £14.62 to £16.15 per hour

Hays Recruitment is supporting a single form entry primary school in Runcorn. We are looking for a motivated and experienced teaching assistant to join the KS1 cohort on a long term part time basis (5 mornings 8:30 am 1 pm). The role involves supporting a female pupil on a 1:1 basis, providing intensive speech and language interventions and therapy, and helping with classroom and resource provision.

Responsibilities

• Use PECS and Makaton to support speech and language development.
• Lead on speech and language interventions and therapy.
• Support during break and lunch times.
• Integrate the pupil into new pupil groups and activities.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Minimum 40 days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years.
• Experience supporting SEN, speech and language requirements.
• Experience using PECS and Makaton.
• ELKLAN training is advantageous.
