Location: Croydon

Contract: Temporary & Permanent Opportunities

Pay: £85 - £105 per day

We are working with a welcoming primary school in Croydon that is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school and help create an engaging, nurturing learning environment.

About the Role

As a Qualified Teaching Assistant, you'll be at the heart of the classroom, supporting teaching and learning while building positive relationships with pupils. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education, confident in working with children, and eager to make a lasting impact.

You will work closely with class teachers to deliver targeted support, help pupils achieve their potential, and ensure every child feels supported and included.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the class teacher to deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons
  • Preparing and setting up learning resources and classroom materials
  • Delivering small-group and one-to-one interventions
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs and EHCPs
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Supervising pupils during lessons, group work, playtimes, and transitions
  • Assisting with observations, assessments, and record-keeping
  • Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

What We're Looking For

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)

GCSE English and Maths or equivalent (essential)

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)

Experience working in a school or educational setting (desirable)

Strong understanding of child development and classroom support strategies

Confident communicator with a caring, proactive approach

A positive team player with strong organisational skills

Desirable but not essential:

  • First Aid certification
  • SEN, safeguarding, or behaviour support training

Working Pattern

  • Full-time and part-time roles available
  • Classroom-based role supporting young learners
  • Active role that may include setting up equipment and supporting play-based learning
