Location: Middleton on the Wolds, Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP (ideally immediate start)
Contract: Part-Time - Until Friday 17th July
Pay: £92 - £115 per day
GSL Education is seeking a resilient and patient Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil in a welcoming primary school setting. This role is to start as soon as possible and will run until the end of the academic year.
Working Hours- Monday, Tuesday & Friday: 8:30am - 12:00pm
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with Autism (ASC).
- Support the pupil's engagement with learning and daily classroom routines.
- Use a calm, consistent approach to support emotional regulation.
- Work closely with teaching staff and follow guidance from the wider support team.
- Help create a structured and positive learning environment.
- Experience working with SEN, particularly ASC (desirable).
- A patient, resilient, and strong-minded approach.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Confidence in supporting pupils who may present with occasional outbursts.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The school has experienced staff on hand to support with any behavioural incidents.
