1:1 SEN Tutor - Empower Young Learners to Thrive

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? TP Tutors is seeking compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutors to provide personalised tuition to pupils in the Northallerton (DL6) area.

This rewarding role involves delivering tailored one-to-one support to learners with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and other learning differences. You will play a key role in helping students build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve their individual educational goals.

This position offers flexible, part-time hours during weekdays, making it ideal for qualified teachers, experienced tutors, teaching assistants, or education professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and personalised one-to-one tuition sessions.

  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet each learner's individual needs, abilities, and learning objectives.

  • Support pupils with SEN using creative, differentiated, and evidence-based teaching strategies.

  • Foster positive relationships that encourage confidence, motivation, and independence.

  • Monitor and record progress, adapting teaching approaches where required.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

  • Previous teaching, tutoring, or classroom support experience.

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting learners.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Right to work in the UK.
