Academics are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a flexible, temporary ongoing basis within supportive mainstream primary schools across Doncaster.

This role focuses on providing tailored one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring they are fully included within the classroom environment and able to access learning effectively.

About the Role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will work closely with a specific pupil who requires additional support due to needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH or communication difficulties.

This 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant role in Doncaster will involve supporting the pupil within a mainstream classroom, helping them to engage with lessons, regulate behaviour, and build confidence while remaining part of the wider class.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support within a mainstream classroom Adapt tasks and learning activities to suit individual needs Support EHCP targets and personalised learning plans Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation Encourage independence and social interaction Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and parents Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Experience supporting children with SEN within mainstream schools Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs Patient, consistent and nurturing approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
