1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant

Overview

1:1 EYFS ASD Learning Support Assistant opportunity to support an EYFS pupil with ASD. Full-time role Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. Immediate start with a long-term temporary contract and potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to EYFS ASD pupils, including those with behavioural challenges.
• Work alongside teachers to prepare and deliver engaging lessons and activities.
• Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment; assist with classroom tasks and resources.
• Supervise and support students on school trips and other outings.
• Rephrase instructions, repeat information, and guide students to stay engaged in their learning.

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS check (child-only) with any overseas clearances if required, and professional references.
• Complete 10-year work history on CV with explanations for any gaps.
• Legal eligibility to work in the UK.
