Position Overview

1:1 Teaching Assistant

Full time, fixed term contract. Starting September 2026. Grade 5 - 32.5 hours - term time only.

Location: Westwood Manor, Mill Lane, Wetley Rocks, ST9 0BX. Phone: .

School: Cicely Haughton School - a primary school catering for pupils aged 5 11 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Day and boarding places are offered where necessary.

Responsibilities

Provide one to one and small group support to pupils within class groups under the line management of teachers. Foster self esteem, self worth, confidence and social skills in children. Maintain high standards, demonstrate a sense of humour and resilience, and act as a positive role model through interaction with children.

Qualifications and Experience

Prior school experience is an advantage, but relevant training will be given. Previous SEN experience is not required.
Applicants must possess excellent interpersonal skills, resilience and a commitment to promoting the joy of learning.
