Job Summary

The Virtual Trinity Library (VTL) is a philanthropically funded programme that delivers cataloguing, conservation and digitisation of the Library's unique collections. The VTL Project Photographer is responsible for the digitisation of priority works from the Library's Arabic and Islamic Manuscripts Collection and the Medieval Manuscripts Collection. The role involves photographing materials to create digital surrogates that adhere to international standards and local procedures for a steady throughput.

Responsibilities
  • Photograph priority works from the Arabic and Islamic Manuscripts Collection and the Medieval Manuscripts Collection to produce digital surrogates, following project documentation.
  • Ensure photogrammetric accuracy and adhere to agreed standards.
  • Collaborate with conservation and catalogue teams as required.
Contract Details

Fixed term contract for 2 years.

Hours: 36.5 hours per week.

Salary: Technical Officer Merged salary scale (€40,743 - €61,557 per annum).
