Job Description

Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a role that combines professional growth, flexibility, and the chance to live and work by the sea? This could be the perfect opportunity.

A well-established, RCVS-accredited small animal practice on the stunning North Yorkshire coast is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Vet to join their friendly team. Whether you're seeking full-time hours or a part-time position that fits around your lifestyle, this role offers the balance and support to help you thrive.

About the Practice

Nestled between the dramatic coastline and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, this practice enjoys the best of both worlds - beautiful countryside and seaside living, with the historic city of York just a short drive away.

The practice is forward-thinking and progressive, equipped with excellent facilities including digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound with cardiac probe, an in-house laboratory, and a well-stocked range of orthopaedic equipment. The result is a rewarding and varied caseload, alongside a loyal and appreciative client base.

Why Join This Team?
  • Flexible working options: Full or part time hours available
  • No out of hours commitments: Enjoy your evenings and weekends free
  • Supportive team environment: A small, close knit group that looks out for each other
  • Career development encouraged: Certificate study supported and mentored
  • Work life balance: With 1 in 3 Saturday mornings shared equally, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy all the region has to offer

This is a team that truly values collaboration and mentorship. For more complex or challenging cases, vets have access to specialist advice via Vet Oracle, ensuring excellent case support and opportunities to continue learning.

Salary and Benefits
  • Salary up to £65,000 FTE, depending on experience
  • Relocation bonus available and discussed at interview
  • Access to a wide range of benefits, including:
    • Vet Oracle - expert clinical support across a range of areas
    • Generous annual leave
    • Pension scheme
    • Discounted veterinary fees
    • Enhanced family friendly leave
    • Employee discounts, wellbeing initiatives, and share save options
