DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Transport FLM to play a vital role in coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders, and tracking transportation vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, implement, and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct reports, ensuring all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while maintaining standards of excellence.
• Ensure drivers are legal and compliant daily and weekly, and facilitate clear communication between all functions within the transport department and the warehouse team.
• Lead the work activities of drivers and the transport clerical team, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training, and development.
• Carry out HR management tasks such as staff reviews, appraisals, absence management, and disciplinaries.

Candidate Requirements

• People management experience within transport, ideally managing a large driver fleet of up to 120 drivers.
• Experience working within a transport office or supply chain environment.
• Proficiency with logistics software packages.
• Strong knowledge of the Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours regulations.
• Excellent communication skills across various stakeholders, including customers.
