Job Overview:
We are seeking a Windows 11 Deployment Technician to support a large-scale W11 migration project. The role involves transitioning laptops from a traditional Windows 10 image to a modern Windows 11 deployment using pre-developed and tested scripts.

Location: Wellington Row, York, North Yorkshire
Daily Rate: £19.85/hr - PAYE, £25.77/hr - UMB
Contract Length: 06th March 2026 till 27th March 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end migration of user laptops from Windows 10 to Windows 11 using provided automation scripts.
• Execute deployment tasks efficiently, with an estimated throughput of up to 10 migrations per hour.
• Conduct four scheduled deployment sessions per day, ensuring accuracy and minimal disruption to users.
• Troubleshoot basic issues that may arise during the migration process and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain clear documentation of completed migrations and any exceptions encountered.
• Collaborate with the wider IT team to ensure smooth delivery of the deployment project.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in IT support, desktop support, or deployment engineering.
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, particularly Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Ability to follow technical scripts and procedures accurately.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
