Teaching Assistant

• Hours: Full time, 39 weeks per year (term time only plus 1 week)
• Contract: Permanent. Required from September 2026

Paradigm Trust is looking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to the team at Murrayfield Primary Academy from September 2026.

Position

You will work with individual pupils and groups, under the direction of a teacher/line manager, introducing tasks, monitoring pupils' work and using a range of strategies to support their learning. You will have the ability to draw on your skills and knowledge to respond effectively to pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

• Dedication to promoting effective and inclusive education for all pupils and an understanding and ability to establish clear boundaries in relation to pupils' behaviour.
• Commitment to collaborative working and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and desire to learn, gain knowledge, and develop skills to improve work performance.
• A flexible, patient and hardworking approach, able to work as part of a team.
• All applicants must have due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people; this will be assessed as part of the recruitment and selection process.
• Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required for all posts.
