The Department of Dental Medicine is delighted to invite applications for Special Doctor in Oral Medicine and Facial Pain at University College London Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our well established and dedicated team.
Main duties of the jobThe successful applicant will work in Oral Medicine and Facial Pain clinics, and the job plan is expected to comprise 5.5 programmed activities per week on average, to be carried out at UCLH. There is no on call commitment.

Professional Qualifications and Training- Full registration with the General Dental Council of the UK (GDC) at the time of appointment and hold a current licence to practise
- MFDS, MJDF or equivalent
- MSc or higher training within Oral medicine
- Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate dental clinical experience
- Minimum of 1 year of postgraduate experience in an oral medicine specialist unit
- Experience of managing facial pain patients as part of a multi disciplinary team
- Effective application of evidence based practice in clinical management of oral medicine and facial pain patients
- Ability to use IT and standard Microsoft packages
- Evidence of publications in peer reviewed journals
- Effective participation in clinical governance and quality improvement activities by demonstration of completed quality improvement projects, service evaluations and clinical audits
- Demonstrate ability to meet Trust values of safety, kindness, teamwork and improving
- Ability to manage own time and workload and prioritise clinical work
- Experience of clinical teaching
