This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dietitian to join the Adult Inherited Metabolic Disease (AIMD) team here at Salford. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian interested in developing new skills and experiences in a rare and interesting area of dietetic practice.

You should be experienced, motivated and proactive team player with excellent communication skills to undertake this specialist role. You will need to work effectively with patients, carers and a wide range of health and non-health professionals in both the hospital and community. You will also require good all-round IT skills.

You will be supported by the other dietitians within the department to learn and develop knowledge and understanding of IMDs and to apply your current knowledge to meet the needs of the patients, carers and other health professionals involved in patient care. This will include developing individually tailored effective dietetic care plans, within the boundaries of your role and working closely with the other members of the IMD MDT. Applications are welcomed from candidates who do not have previous experience in metabolic dietetics.

This will include managing your own caseload to cover a range of dietetic needs (including weight management, nutrition support, enteral feeding, renal, diabetes and gastro as well as actively engaging in learning to provide specialist dietetic input to manage patients with AIMDs).
