SHEQ Manager

Occupli are recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure and engineering organisation for an experienced SHEQ Manager to support a growing portfolio of projects across Ireland.
This is a senior operational role suited to a proactive safety professional with strong experience across construction, utilities, or energy environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving best practice across Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards while supporting project delivery teams across multiple live sites.
The role offers a mix of office, remote and site-based working with regular travel required.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and promote a strong SHEQ culture across operational project sites
- Support project teams in implementing effective health, safety, environmental and quality processes
- Ensure compliance with Irish legislation, industry standards and internal management systems
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
- Oversee incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively
- Monitor subcontractor SHEQ compliance and documentation
- Support the preparation and review of RAMS, safety plans, environmental documentation and quality records
- Analyse SHEQ performance data, KPIs and audit findings to identify improvement opportunities
- Participate in project meetings, operational reviews and tender support activities
- Deliver SHEQ guidance, mentoring and training across project teams
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and best practice across the business
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a SHEQ management or senior advisory role
- Experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure or energy sectors essential
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of Irish health & safety legislation
- Experience working with ISO management systems including ISO 45001
- Incident investigation training desirable
- Internal auditing experience advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Full clean driving licence with flexibility to travel nationwide
