Senior Project Manager - Water

Your new company
You will be joining an established Tier 1 contractor based in Derby working on a major water framework in the Midlands area. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work in the water sector, and they are currently working on clean water and wastewater infrastructure schemes (including diversions and requisitions) valued up to £6m. They offer excellent opportunities for uncapped career progression and professional development, and due to continued success, they are looking to on board a Senior Project Manager to join their operational team based out of Birmingham, Derby or Warwickshire.
Your new role
You will be managing projects in compliance with our IMS, creating design team programmes and ensure that design managers have sufficient resources to meet deadlines. In addition to this, you will monitor and forecast the financial performance of the projects, providing regular reports comparing actual and forecast performance and explaining variations and conduct weekly reviews with internal and external design managers and the project teams as appropriate. Most importantly, you will represent the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have previous experience in the water (clean water and/or wastewater) sector as a Senior Project Manager position and hold both a CSCS card and SMSTS. In addition, you will have good working knowledge of CDM regulations, risk management and control as well as knowledge of NEC contracts. Finally, you will possess excellent interpersonal and team management skills.
