Senior Developers/Pipeliners Contract Role 100% Remote

We are looking for a Backend Developer specialized in Data Engineering. The role focuses on building data pipelines, system integration, and Server Side logic using tools like Node-RED and Jinja

Therefore we need a Developer with hands-on experience building and maintaining pipelines using Node-RED and Jinja. While we do not expect familiarity with the Sight Machine environment, strong proficiency in these technologies will allow candidates to ramp up quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, optimise, and maintain data/operational pipelines using Node-RED.
• Develop and manage templating and logic using Jinja.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve pipeline reliability and performance.
• Support integration with manufacturing systems and operational data sources.
• Contribute to best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Required Experience

• Extensive experience developing pipelines using Node-RED.
• Strong practical knowledge of Jinja templating.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Experience in manufacturing, IoT, IIoT, or operational technology environments is highly beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with Real Time or near-Real Time data flows is a plus.
