Main duties of the job

Clinical Duties

  • Appointments F2F, Telephone and online.
  • Home Visits - Normally carried out by our paramedics over lunch time, 30 minutes per visit unless out of the usual practice boundary.
  • Daily Administration including tasks, letters, results
  • Extended access hours

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced partners, nurses, and administrative staff to provide high-quality medical services to our diverse patient population.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified GP looking for a supportive first role, with mentorship, development opportunities, and a clear pathway to long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care to registered patients.
  • Conduct a range of consultations, including face-to-face, telephone, and online appointments.
  • Manage acute, chronic, and preventative healthcare needs.
  • Contribute to clinical decision-making, multidisciplinary team meetings, and case reviews.
  • Participate in duty doctor sessions and home visits (as appropriate).
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical records using the practice's IT systems (e.g. EMIS Web).
  • Support the delivery of QOF, IIF, and local enhanced services.
  • Engage in audit, significant event analysis, and quality improvement activities.
  • Participate in educational meetings and contribute to the development of the practice.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the performers list.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.

Desirable:

  • Experience using EMIS Web (or similar clinical systems).
  • Interest in teaching, training, or clinical leadership.
  • Desire to develop a special clinical interest or portfolio career.
