Rock and Pop Music Teacher - Sevenoakes

Location: Kent

Compensation: £27,000 - £32,000 / year

Description

Salary: £27,000 per annum with potential to progress up to £32,000 per annum. Company Bonus Scheme: £1,500 per annum based on performance & company performance. OTE earnings for year 1: £28,500. Full time, permanent role. No teaching experience required - full training provided.

Transport: UK/EU Driving Licence and own transport essential. Holiday: 11+ weeks paid. Fuel contributions in addition to salary. You will teach in multiple schools across a regional area each week, centred on the advertised location.

Responsibilities
  • Teach groups of primary age children in a fun, inspiring rock and pop band format in up to 10 schools per week.
  • Provide children with their first opportunity to learn instruments - drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
  • Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders, with support from central teams.
  • Be a rock and pop star role model, empowering children to deliver live performances at end of term concerts.
  • Help children develop self belief, resilience and wellbeing through performing.
  • Represent Rocksteady, building strong relationships with schools, teachers and parents.
  • Be prepared for highly active days, spending time driving between schools and handling equipment.
Qualifications
  • Competent on at least two of the instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard, vocals.
  • Enthusiastic to learn teaching and complete our extensive training programme.
  • Resilient to handle a demanding, varied schedule.
  • Confident, authentic, and able to communicate well with children, teachers and parents.
  • Committed to safety and wellbeing of children.
  • Organised, independent worker with good time management and administration skills.
  • Hold a UK/EU driving licence and own transport.
