Currently seeking an exceptional Project Director from a tier 1 Construction, Main contractor background for lead the preconstruction through to delivery of a Design & build, super prime, retirement living scheme near Reading. This flagship scheme will set a new benchmark for design quality.

About the Project Director role

As the Project Director, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from pre-construction through to completion.

You will oversee design, procurement, construction and client management; ensuring the scheme is delivered to the highest standards of quality, budget and programme.

Responsibilities of the Project Director

• Lead the over all project delivery strategy, managing multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams.
• Oversee all aspects of programme, cost, and risk management
• Drive value engineering and ensure project profitability and performance targets are met.
• Liaise closely with client representatives, local authorities, and key stakeholder to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project life cycle.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sustainability objectives.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture across all project partners.

About the Project Director

• Proven experience delivering complex, high value residential or mixed use developments (£30million+ in value)
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of managing large professional and construction teams.
• In-depth understanding of construction processes, contractual frameworks (Design & Build form of contract) and commercial management.
• A proactive problem solver with excellent stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
• Experience in retirement or later living sector is desirable but not essential.
