Job Description

Job Title: Pricing Analyst Apprenticeship, Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Insurance

Target Start Date: 22nd September 2025

Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time options available

Salary Range: £24,640 increasing after 3 years

Location: Eastleigh or London with travel expected to both offices

Closing Date for applications: 1st June 2025

Pricing Analyst Apprentice:

The pricing team is part of the technical engine room that drives Ageas forwards. The price we offer our products at is one of our key differentiators from our competitors as well as a major contributor to our profitability.

We use a vast range of data (internal/external), tools (SAS, R, Python), and techniques (statistical analysis including Machine Learning) to answer challenging business questions.

What are level 6 apprenticeships?

Level 6 apprenticeships are designed to offer full-time work while supporting progress towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification at level 6. Completing this apprenticeship will also mean attaining the Chartered Insurance Institute's Advanced Diploma in Insurance, the industry's top vocational technical qualification. It is equivalent to a University Honour's Degree qualification. After completion, you may pursue postgraduate studies or a level 7 apprenticeship.

What does a Pricing Professional do?

A Pricing Professional provides detailed analysis of data using actuarial and statistical techniques to inform pricing decisions, aiming to increase volume, income, and profit. Their work directly impacts the profitability and growth of the business, targeting increased conversion, retention, and achieving target loss ratios.

What we need from you:
  • Expected grade - 3 'A' levels at A-C or equivalent, preferably in STEM subjects.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Highly numerate with attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and data handling skills for analysis.
